According to employees, individuals have reportedly been bringing in large amounts of copper over the last month, totaling more than $65,000 in sales. Employees became concerned due to both the quantity of material and the condition of the copper, which was described as extremely clean, neatly cut, and unusual in appearance for typical material brought into the yard.
Employees reported that the individuals advised the copper had been stored in a barn.
The Holyoke Police Department is requesting any information regarding large amount of copper thefts, investigations involving either individual, suspicious copper sales, or any known incidents that may be related.
