On July 11, 2017, an alert was broadcast by the Gorham (ME) Police Department for the theft of aluminum ingots valued at $4,000. Assisted by employees at Schnitzer Steel metal recycling, police made a partial recovery of materials valued at approximately $1,200 and identified a suspect in the case.
