Information for SBCSD on theft of Hydrant #67
Hydrant located at NE corner of Joshua Road (AKA Bonita Vista Road) and Ocotillo Way.
All three of the following items are cast into the actual body of the hydrant:

This hydrant also had a backflow prevention device installed. It is a black cylindrical piece apprx 2 feet tall with a 2 inch wide base. It also had a solid brass disk of apprx 6 inches in diameter which fits tightly on top of the black cylinder.
In addition: this hydrant had an anti-theft bonnet installed on top of the head. It is restrained by one bolt and nut, and one bolt and anti-theft tapered nut. I included a second picture of what it looks like. The picture of the stolen hydrant was taken many years ago before the op-nut guards were available/installed.
Hydrant also had 2 one inch brass circular tags attached to one of the chain caps. One will be stamped with HYD #67 and the other will have some dimensions written on it with N,E,W,S directions.
